the Experts in Property £2,500 winner announced
the Experts in Property network of independent estate agents is thrilled to announce a couple from Radstock, Somerset, as the £2,500 grand prize winner of its Autumn Giveaway.
Mr and Mrs Tutchell’s entry was one of hundreds in the network’s Autumn Giveaway, all of the entrants homeowners who’d had a valuation on their property by estate agency members of the Experts in Property during September, October and November.
The network invited a representative from Devon Air Ambulance Trust to its headquarters in Exeter to randomly pick the winning entry and on 20th December, Catherine from the charity revealed the winners as Mr & Mrs Tutchell.
Mr and Mrs Tutchell put their home in Radstock on the market with Bishop & Company, Midsomer Norton and the agency entered them into the giveaway. They have already moved home and were presented with their prize – £2,500 to spend in John Lewis – on 23rd December, just in time for Christmas and the New Year sales.
The delighted couple commented: “We couldn’t believe the news that we had won this amazing prize. You always wonder if these prize draws are real but we know they are now! Spending £2,500 in John Lewis is going to be a great pleasure for us. We can’t thank Bishop & Company enough for all they have done, they sold our house in good time, at a great price and their staff couldn’t have been more helpful.”
Catherine from Devon Air Ambulance Trust also picked five runners-up, each of which won £100 to spend in John Lewis. Remarkably, two of these are also clients of Bishop & Company – Mr Lockley from Charlton and Mrs Kittow from Peasedown St John, have also been awarded their prizes.
The other runners-up are Mr Musial in Taunton, a potential client of Gibbins Richards in the town; Mr and Mrs Searle, who’s property – a four-bedroom home in a superb location between the sea front and Clevedon town centre, is currently on the market with Mark Templer in Clevedon; and lastly, Mr Pell, a vendor of Torquay Real Estate. By coincidence, Mr Pell was Torquay Real Estate’s first entry into the promotion, on 1st September. The agency sold his property – a modern semi in Torquay – for a sum in excess of the asking price and the transaction completed on Tuesday 20th December, the very day that the draw was made and the winners informed.
Tony Bishop, managing director of Bishop & Company said: “I’m delighted that one of our clients was the winner of this brilliant prize draw. What’s more, two of our other clients were runners up! Perhaps I should have bought a lottery ticket that day? In all seriousness, being part of the Experts in Property group has many benefits for us and our clients. All our properties get wider exposure via the Experts in Property website and from our fellow agents across the South West (plus a London branch), who also market our properties via a common software system. We also pool our resources so that we can provide top class training for all our staff and share best practice with other property professionals. In short, being a member enables us to have the presence of a corporate business whilst retaining 100% of our independence. A big thank you to all at the Experts in Property who made this possible and congratulations to our clients Mr & Mrs Tutchell.”
Steve Moir, chairman of the Experts in Property, added: “A massive thank you to the Devon Air Ambulance Trust who drew the winners for us and huge congratulations to Mr and Mrs Tutchell as well as the runners-up.”
the Experts in Property, which donated £100 to the Devon Air Ambulance Trust as a thank you for their help, is due to launch its Spring initiative in the coming week or so. Watch this space for details…
