Westcountry alluring London buyers
Hennings Moir part of the Experts in Property network of 80 independent estate agency offices across Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset and Bristol will be holding its next Westcountry Property Exhibition in London on Thursday 20th July.
Those putting their homes on the market with their local branch now will benefit from the direct exposure to buyers in the capital, of which there are hundreds every year.
Popular with retirees and those looking for a different pace of life, the South West also has the highest rate of home workers in the UK. The latest figures published by the Office for National Statistics reveal that during the first quarter of 2014 there was a total of 30 million people in work across the UK, 4.2 million of which were based at home. At that time, a massive 17.1% of all workers in the South West used their home for work. With developments in technology, an evolving business attitude towards home workers and the increased availability of high speed broadband, further heightening the lure of our beautiful Westcountry, it would be no surprise if these figures had significantly increased in the last three years, since the survey was conducted.
Research by the Experts in Property shows that the largest percentage of Westcountry property buyers come from London and the South-East region, and it’s a mixed bag of property they’re looking for, from compact weekend retreats and homes with simple office or workshop space, to smallholdings, those suitable for equestrian businesses or that can offer accommodation or other services to the tourism industry.
A mixed bag of property is exactly what will be showcased at the exhibition, from humble park homes to manor houses and everything in between to suit the hopeful buyers.
A few local experts from the network will travel to the capital to engage with potential buyers, answering questions about the various areas in the region as well as identifying befitting homes.
the Experts in Property Westcountry Property Exhibition will be held at the impressive and highly prominent offices of Lawsons & Daughters, Hammersmith & Fulham’s leading independent estate agency and an affiliate member of the network, sitting on Fulham’s North End Road, in a prime residential area identified in the London Plan as one of 35 major centres in Greater London, on the north bank of the River Thames, between Hammersmith and the affluent Kensington and Chelsea.
Steve Moir, chairman of the network, said: “Anyone putting their property on the market with us now will benefit from the invaluable exposure achieved at the exhibition, in addition to our standard unsurpassed online and in-office marketing spread. The exhibitions are hugely popular and not to be missed by any property for sale in the region.”
